Cook what you got Vol 1, 2

Hi All,
last night produced yet another gem. I am a big fan of the Crock Pot for many reasons - mainly because everything is better when cooked for a long time..spaghetti sauce for example...read one for a new recipe

Steak Stew what you got

Steak meat (I don't even know what I used...it was sirloin steak I think)
Can of chopped tomatoes
Leftover chopped white onion (any will do)
Worchester sauce (I prefer to call this Worse for Wear sauce)
Oregano (from the 99 cents store pack)
Garlic (fresh)
Celery (99 cents store, fresh as all get out)
Carrots (same as above)
Dried leek and shallot spices (from this thing I bought at TJ Maxx Home goods..$3.99)
Red wine (dry is best)(not from the above)
S&P
Turkey gravy packet mix

I browned the veggies and herbs and wine (not the canned toms) with the steak, poured that into the Crock Pot.
Added the canned toms and turkey gravy packet
Mixed it up and set it on Low

Served this over leftover rice pilaf (you can eat it alone or over egg noodles, etc) for lunch today and it was AMAZING

YUM
Love
